About Arleen Olson
Artist Background
Arleen Olson has been a professional photographer for over 25 years working in both studio and environmental locations. She has photographed archeology, architecture, aerials, commercial products, portraits, weddings, special events and fine art in many different lighting situations.
Her photographs have been published in local newspapers, environmental newsletters, college publications, books, brochures, and many magazines. Her Virgin Passage Poster was sold nationally in women’s bookstores. A compilation of her photographs are part of the permanent collection of Women Photographers in Humboldt County, 1850-2000 which resides at the Beinecke Library, Yale University as part of the Women in Photography International Archive. She has exhibited her photographs throughout the mid-west and California.
